3D Concrete Printing: an innovative construction process

Welcome

Welcome to the Freeform Construction project, based in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering at Loughborough University

The Freeform Construction project is investigating the potential large scale additive manufacturing has for producing full scale building components.

The project is developing new additive manufacturing processes capable of producing components in a build volume of up to 2m x 2.5m x 5m. A 1 tonne reinforced concrete architectural piece has been produced to demonstrate the potential of the process and is the first in a series of components to be manufactured.

What's new!

3D Concrete Printing process with some examples has been introduced in Building Technological Habitats, 1st Exhibition of Inhabiting Cosmos series, Valencia, Spain, 3rd April 2012 ~ 1st July 2012.
